Westside (Day 'N Night) is a record I started on years ago. My guy Leo sent me the drums as part of another track he was working on. I repurposed the drums and added the rest of the instrumentation. It's definitely Neptunes inspired. The Day part is fun & witty, while the Night section is somber & reflective. We played off that theme in the video which was directed by acclaimed editor Mah Ferraz & Brandon Mercer. My wife & daughter are featured in the video too which elevates the sincerity behind what this piece of art means to me.
